Overview

The Office of the President, Regional Administration and Local Government (OR-TAMISEMI) hereby announces to all Tanzanian citizens who have the capability and qualifications to fill 77 job vacancies in the healthcare professions for the Council Hospitals, Health Centers, and Dispensaries.

Therefore, graduates from government-recognized Health Colleges are invited to submit their job applications from July 09th to July 22nd, 2023. The available job positions are for diploma holders.

Qualifications

Biomedical Equipment Technician Grade II – TGHS B

  • Applicants should hold a three-year Ordinary Diploma in Technical Studies (Full Technician Certificate) from a government-recognized College.

Physiotherapy/Practical Therapist Grade II – TGHS B

  • Applicants should hold a Diploma in Physiotherapy/Practical Therapy from a government-recognized College.

General Requirements

All applicants are required to meet the following general qualifications:

  1. Be a Tanzanian citizen.
  2. Be aged not more than 45 years.
  3. Hold complete certificates of relevant vocational training (Form IV, Form VI, and Professional Certificate) and have full registration or a valid license to practice the relevant profession.
  4. Not be an employee of the Government or an employee of Religious Organizations’ Hospitals whose salary is paid by the Government.
  5. Applicants employed under employment contracts from Development Partners in the Health Sector are required to attach copies of the contract and confirmation letters from the Directors of respective Councils.
  6. Have never been dismissed, resigned, or retired from Public Service; vii. Have a National Identification Number (NIDA); and viii. Attach a copy of the birth certificate.

Important things to note for all Applicants

  1. All applicants must be ready to work in the Council/Health Facilities they will be assigned to.
  2. Applicants must be willing to work with Organizations or Institutions in partnership with the Government.
  3. After being assigned a workstation, there will be no opportunity to change workstations.
  4. All applicants must ensure they fill in their information and attach all necessary documents in the system and
  5. Job applications are free of charge.

Graduates who studied outside the country

  1. All applicants who studied Secondary Education outside the country are required to obtain an Equivalent Number of Results (EQ…) starting with the letters EQ… from the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) to enable them to enter the Employment System and
  2. Applicants who studied at Foreign Universities/Colleges are required to obtain an Academic Certification from the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) to have their certificates recognized and validated for use in the country.

Healthcare professionals with the required qualifications are required to follow the same procedure of submitting applications through the online system via the link ajira.tamisemi.go.tz. Applicants who have previously submitted their applications through this system are required to update their information and application letters.

Applicants with disabilities and qualifications specified in this announcement should also submit their applications through the system. Additionally, their applications should indicate the type of disability they have and include a photo and a medical certificate from a Government hospital.

Any applications submitted by postal mail or brought directly to the Office of the President – TAMISEMI will not be processed. Furthermore, applicants should be aware that once assigned a workstation, they are not allowed to transfer or change their workstation for a period of three years.
